John Alle: Biography
John E. Alle is the founder and president of JOHN ALLE COMPANY.
The firm specializes in real property leases, sales, tenant representation and the sale of business opportunities such as restaurants, lounges and other corporately owned businesses.
Mr. Alle has 34 years of real estate brokerage experience, some of which were spent with R.A. Rowan & Company, Travers Realty Corp., and Merrill Lynch Commercial Real Estate. He founded JOHN ALLE COMPANY in 1986.
Mr. Alle attended the University of Southern California and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from California State University, Northridge, and has completed numerous real estate-related courses at UCLA.
He places great importance on increasing his knowledge of the real estate industry through continuing education and seminars. He regularly participates in discussions, courses and seminars on all aspects of commercial and residential real estate, ethics and accounting.
Mr. Alle’s representation and lease negotiations throughout Southern California on behalf of restaurants and franchises, banks, Fortune 500 corporations, technology firms, music and recording studios, post-production groups, health-related practices, professional services firms, and independent professionals, have taken him to Northern California, Nevada, Colorado, and various cities on the Eastern Seaboard. His objective for owners, office and retail tenants, investors and developers is to reduce their costs, monitor their risk, and increase value and their knowledge of their holdings.
His signs have been visible throughout Los Angeles and the Tri-Cities area, assisting property owners with small and large building assignments.
Alle credits his father and their continued close relationship for introducing him to the fantastic field of real estate and real property investment asset management.
When Mr. Alle was 17 years old, his father arranged for him to meet investor/developer Ted Weill, who was then in charge of real estate for Dart Industries, and has since served as Mayor for the City of Rancho Mirage. Six months later, Mr. Alle and his father attended the Shopping Center Game, an annual conference at UCLA, then sponsored and hosted by legendary broker and civic leader Steve Soboroff.
Shortly thereafter, John transitioned from writing syndicated feature articles for national and international newspapers and prominent magazines, and ghost-writing instructional books for medical doctors, and entered the real estate profession.
Mr. Alle’s business is relationship and client-driven. He has assembled large and small land parcels for developers of urban in-fill projects, completed leases and subleases as small as 250 square feet and as large as 275,000 square feet, and sold single-building properties as small as 1,000 square feet and as large as 450,000 square feet. He has a commitment of loyalty to clients that has earned him many long-term business relationships. He pays attention to detail and has a passion for real estate.
Mr. Alle has served on the boards of many national and regional non-profit groups, service organizations, and volunteered his time and capital to food banks and after-school sports programs for at-risk children or those from the lowest-income families.
He formerly served as an advisory board member for two Pasadena-based banks prior to their acquisition.
